Requirements Assessment

Objective Business Analysis is the result of Discovery & Innovation of your Business Systems, Technologies, Operations & Process that leads to the definition of the current state of your business.

The purpose of a Business Assessment is to identify and evaluate existing operations, systems and procedures in order to understand the business needs of your company. Zenobia & Associates Consulting employs a logical, systematic approach to determine your business requirements by gathering pertinent data during plant/facility tours, group and individual interviews and general observations. Once information regarding the current status has been obtained and the business objectives are understood, we can develop a set of requirements and recommendations achieve your goals.

Information and data gathered during the course of plant tours, executive and key user interviews, evaluation of current systems and definition of business needs resulting from the Requirements Assessment often identifies the need for Education & Training at all levels within the organization. Quality Education & Training leads to improved employee performance and understanding, company wide operational improvements and provides a solid foundation for future systems enhancements.

Another result of the Business Assessment may be a recommendation to conduct Work Shop activities which may lead to a Short Term Improvement Program to resolve problems and deficiencies discovered during information gathering process. The Work Shop approach often recovers the investment made by the client to conduct the Requirements Assessment.

Objective Business Analysis Specialist Zenobia & Associates

The Requirements Assessment process consists of two major functions.  The first is the information gathering segment at which time Zenobia & Associates Consultants learn about your business through a series of executive and key user interviews, plant tours, general discussions/observations and an in-depth business system study. At the same time, the manufacturing process and material flow is reviewed and strengths and weaknesses are determined.  All of the information is accumulated and evaluated to determine the current status and define the needs of the company.  Results of the information gathering segment, along with various recommendations, are presented at the Mid-Point Review meeting.

The second segment involves the development of a comprehensive set of requirements addressing the needs of all functional areas within the company.  These requirements can encompass the areas of computer hardware/software, education and training, plant/facilities layouts and factory automation.  If computer software is a requirement, Zenobia & Associates Consulting will conduct an initial functional Software Fit analysis which will match several vendors' products to the client's requirements.  The best alternatives will be presented to our client for further evaluation.
